Queen PalmThe Queen palm is transplanted easily during the spring and early summer when it is warm and hot. It is very adaptable to new locations.

Dig up as much the rootball of your palm as you can. Select the site you will be planting. Choose a location where your palm will be able to thrive. Make sure that tree has enough room to grow.

Dig the hole. Don’t make the hole larger that the original one. Gently place the Queen Palm in the prepared planting hole. Fill the hole with the original soil mixed with sand, peat moss and compost. Water after the transplaning.

During the first 6 months keep the root ball and surrouding area moist, but not too wet. Usually it requires daily watering for the first several months, then decrease gradually. Use palm fertilizer 3-4 months after transplaning. Your palm should grow fast with regular applications of a palm special fertilizer, appropriate watering and considerable amount of light.
